VivaSpec

Ultramicro balances Cubis®

UV-Vis spectrophotometers are indispensable in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry labs. VivaSpec spectrophotometers can be used for the common analyses of nucleic acids and proteins. The user software of the model VivaSpec LS includes pre-programmed methods for the quantification and purity control of DNA, RNA and oligonucleotide samples and the determination of protein concentrations with direct UV measurements and colorimetric protein assays including Bradford, BCA and Lowry. Together with the OD 600 method for bacteria cell density measures and absorbance readings at selectable wavelengths the VivaSpec LS is the ideal spectrophotometer for the use in life science labs. For reliable and error-free results the calculations are done automatically, taking dilutions into consideration. In addition, the models VivaSpec and VivaSpec+ offer even more flexibility with freely programmable methods for kinetic measurements, full wavelength scans and readings at single or multiple wavelengths which can be stored in personalised folders. The data can be transferred to a computer – the software is included in the package. All models feature a xenon lamp for instant use without pre-warming, a large graphical display and a robust spill-resistant housing.
